Zombie Driver Review

Zombie Driver is what would've happened if Grand Theft Auto 2 and Left 4 Dead had a baby. It's addicting and insanely fun. Best of all it's cheap.

Developed and Published by Exor Studios, Zombie Driver is an Indie game with solid gameplay and decent graphics. It features 17 story missions and an all new slaughter mode with a recent patch. There are over 6 different cars with a straight forward vehicle upgrades and weapon unlocks.

I enjoyed Story Mode for what it was, a way to unlock new cars. Very little memorable plot to speak of. Now I spend most of my time in Slaughter Mode where I'm still trying to reach the $150,000 High Score.

I was truly impressed by the sheer amount of zombies this game manages to pack onto the screen with very little lag; even on my dated laptop. If you are lucky enough to play this on a rig with an nVidia graphics card you can take full advantage of PhysX to make turning zombies into road kill all the more visually stunning.

What still amazes me about this game is the pricetag; $5. They also don't force DRM down your throat. Ubisoft should really take some notes from these smaller game studios.
